Artist's Comments

As he fell, limp and unconscious, his body began to morph. The ebony coat paled back to white. The horns retracted from his spine. All that darkness inside evaporated into the clearing air and what was left was naught more than the tender, soft. creature they once knew. All the years of wisdom and leadership carved deep lines around his eyes; wrinkles that reappeared as his old form solidified. The weight of those years and all the burdens he had bared, taunted gravity and pulled him faster, stronger towards the ground below. StormCry did not hear the shouts of celebration for the end of the darkness as he fell. He did not feel Thunder's presence fly by. Regardless of his old rival's efforts, the aged white one fell and fell, unaware of what had happened and why. When he finally hit the ground, a gentle sigh emitted from his form. He did not feel the pain when his bones snapped and twisted at odd angles. With a subtle smile, the legend let go, his final thoughts of Felicity.

I was a hard scene to draw...I couldn't draw Storm until the end because I was worried how to potray the scene.
